To amswer the last three, I used the caiper bolts to mount the plate. the bike would have to be laid down practically to scrape. I havent had time really to build tails. I need to buy a house and make a work shop:) The frame sliders weren't very hard. I designed, built,and tested them(lightly)...

I think the side rails are anodized. If they are, you would have to sand them. If you have a non-directional sander, start with an 80 grit to strip finish, and take it to about 1000 or more until its a dull shine. Then some rouge and a buffing wheel will take it right up. I'm not sure what...

Well, its not a straight through design. The inlet is a seperate chamber that creates back pressure before it enters the baffles. This helps reduce power loss in top end. This was my prototype, Its a simple alteration to allow the chin to be reinstalled.

Thanks, the leds are blinding, just the way I want it. :D I integrated the turn signals, wich are also bright as hell. the left and right lights are the running lights, and all three come on even brighter when the brake is applied.

I just hit 10K miles on my 04 XB12S and want to know if there are any major adjustments needed, valves, primary chain, ect. I also saw pics of the XB models exploding from a worn oil pump gear at around 10k miles, ugly. are these things a pain to do yourself? I would appreciate any help. Thanks
