Brakes Chattering/Clattering after replacing pads and rotors

Thanks guys. It is 100% audible and no tactile. I'll check the washers because I think that could easily be it: I didn't pay attention to the rounded edge. Then I'll lubricate everything and try to put a few miles on to see if it improves.

Brakes Chattering/Clattering after replacing pads and rotors

Hi everyone, I just replaced the pads and rotors on my 2005 Lightning XB9SX. I did this because there was some inconsistent braking when lightly braking in the front -- braking wasn't linear. The pads still had life left, but I went ahead and replaced with EBC Double H brake pads. I also...

Engine Starts but clicks before doing so

Riding more isn't going to happen. It is way too hot and humid over the summer here to get a lot of riding in. What are you guys suggesting re tender? Leave the battery disconnected? I use a NOCO Genius that is supposed to manage that.

Engine Starts but clicks before doing so

I always keep my bike on a tender, so it is fully charge, and I put a new battery with 200 CCAs in this spring. It has a problem where it sometimes (usually) clicks a few times as I turn it on -- often resetting the clock -- but turns over. Any idea what might be causing it? A loose...

    Electrical Issues

Update. I thought I would take the battery out, check all the connections and clean as necessary. The positive terminal of the battery was 90% missing. There was also some minor corrosion (more like oxidation actually) on the connectors and the battery mounting tray. The battery was just...

    Electrical Issues

I recently was having problems with the speedometer not working and there often was clicking when I tried starting. It would start, but reset the clock (and you could see the speedometer resweep). Occasionally, it would also just go totally dead when trying to start. A slight wiggle of the...

How fast are you going? Faster than the speed of sound? I suggest you read up on the Doppler Shift. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Doppler_shift

    Broken/Seized Oil Drain Plug

I took it to the one HD dealer who will work on Buells. They are going to just do the oil change and everything after they fix it (I rather not have to do the oil change in their parking lot). The dealer said it was likely just over tightening, and it is a somewhat common occurrence although...

    Broken/Seized Oil Drain Plug

If it happened back in my home town, I'm sure my stepdad could have done it. Unfortunately, like I said, most places here (Minneapolis) including some HD dealers won't touch Buells. Regardless of the fact that it is a seized bolt. They go "nope don't touch that." Anyone on this forum from...

    Broken/Seized Oil Drain Plug

So, I just bought an '05 XB9SX this winter. I went to do my first oil change on it, and the drain plug head snapped off. The rest of the plug is still in place - it isn't leaking. Anyone have any ideas? I called an independent motorcycle shop and one Harley dealer, and neither work on Buell...
