    Yeah, rear isolators are a PITA to change. Lot's of stuff is becoming obsolete so you should be buying a bike in great shape. Body parts, decals, air cleaner stuff, tanks, fenders that sort of stuff isn't available anymore. Great bikes

    front end making a little noise

    I would also check the brake pads. The support pins that run through the pads may have wear or the holes in the pads may also be worn causing excessive movement of the pads

    Rear Axle torque spec

    Axle nut torque is 66-73 ft-lbs and belt deflection is 7/8 to 1 inch with 10 lbs of force. Push the lower belt(belt closest to the road) up with 10lbs of force and then measure the upward deflection

    Had a similar problem with an S1. Would start and idle great, but when I put the bike in gear and tried to drive away it would sputter out and die. Turns out, it was a bad kick stand safety swith. Some kind of short in the switch. Got a new switch, problem solved. Try connecting the two wires...

    97 Thunderbolt oil leaks

    First thing I would do is use a spray on engine cleaner and pressure wash the entire engine. A leak may then pop up making the location easier to identify. A few things to check are oil line connections, bad hose lines and also watch a leak from behind the drive sprocket. There is a seal there...
