    Fork seals on Uly

Alright just got done with the bike. The seals were in backwards. The 2009 manual states that the spring side faces the dust seal. I may have wore my bushings down doing that too but I'll save that for this winter. Thanks for the help guys. Forks are bone dry now!

    Fork seals on Uly

Huh I swear the manual says spring faces the dust boot. Oh well. Ill swap them around tonight. I should have looked when taking them apart. Thanks guys! Ive been racking my brain all day to figure out what the problem is.

    Fork seals on Uly

I went in my garage this morning and my left fork had a puddle of oil under it. This is frustrating.

    Fork seals on Uly

I ordered parts OEM from Harley. The manual said to install the seals with the spring facing the dust seal so its facing the earth when the forks are on the bike. I did it very carefully and maybe I just put too much oil on the seals when I installed them. Fork oil put in was just under 16 oz...

    Fork seals on Uly

I have an 08 uly X. I just did the fork seals after they started leaking. New seals and dust boots on both sides. I clean everything thoroughly and replaced everything by the book. Both seals have a very slight leak. Just enough of a film to be noticeable. This is only after one ride though. I'm...

    My experiences with the Uly

Well I pushed the Uly to its limit. Found some mud on a recent trip across the state. Packed the rear wheel and it coulnt move so I burned the clutch up. Also blew my fork seals. What an expensive weekend.

    My experiences with the Uly

Lots of new things to add. First, got some fog lights mounted up: HMM a little bigger than expected. No problem Also mounted the TKC80 up front and the K60 in the rear... I also needed handguards but I liked the factory look. So i used the moose racing guards and had to trim a little...

    Maybe it's just me?

Try repacking your Jardine. Seriously it makes a difference.

Who says the XT can't play DIRTY?!

Ive been saying that for a while! Well I have an X but still. Notice how much smaller the front of your Buell is compared to the others. I find this extremely helpful in difficult terrain as you can see closer to your front tire they on other bikes. My buddy has a Vstrom and I cant imagine doing...

    My experiences with the Uly

Its not a wolfman bag. Its just a 30L Seal line bag that I got from Scheels. Its an OK bag if you dont mind loading from one side. Its also very thick material so it feels very durable. Id prefer a top or side loading bag but this one works and was only like $25.

    My experiences with the Uly

I decided to make a Lexan headlight cover since I already had some dings on my headlight. Cost about $9 total for dual lock and the lexan sheet from Menards. Not the cleanest but still better than paying $60+ for a Touratech one. Ill sand the edges a little more to clean it up later but I'm...

Check your primary cover too! there may be a small crack somewhere. Also check your shift shaft that it didnt get bent slightly as that will annoy you until you replace it

    My experiences with the Uly

I guess I'm starting this so I can keep track of all the shenanigans I get into with this bike. The reason I got my Uly. I got hit head on by an old lady who REALLY needed to get into Lewis to get her meds. RIP to this old girl: This is how the bike was when I got her, minus the crash bars...

I like to see that K60 on there. I think that's what im going with soon here. How is the traction on it? Im hoping someone that has tried a TKC80 has also tried the K60 and can compare them.

Buell XB high performance front isolator

Wow this excites me. Literally the only parts we wont be able to adapt are motor mounts and belts. But with belts we can switch to chain. This is a very good thing and I hope a manufacturer like Preeng or someone can help produce these if you dont want to go through with making them all the time

    Nailed it.....
