This is my first post and I was hoping I could get some help. As the title says, I have an 07 Xb12ss that just rolled over 10k miles. At about 8k or so, the idle would get stuck at about 2000 rpm and wouldn't come down unless I let the clutch out a little. At about 9k, the bike went to missing, stumbling, and jerking from 2500 to 3000 rpm. This only seems to happen after warming up. Bike runs perfect when cold or about thirty minutes. I read the forum and what everyone else did and went to work. I changed the plugs (wires looked good) and it helped for a couple rides then went back to doing it again. I went ahead and bit the bullet and went for the cam sensor/ignition plate assembly and replaced it. Bike seemed fix but today slight miss and stumble came back. Not as bad as before but I definitely don't want it to be like before. When I changed the plugs, the air filter had very little oil residue around it and inside the airbox. So now I'm stuck on what to do next and was hoping for suggestions? (Coincidentally, all this started happening after getting bike back from Harley dealer after accident and they gave it back to me with way too much oil in it)

have you tried testing your intake manifold to cylinder head gaskets? just a thought but sounds like you're describing a lean-condition situation. also, with engine warm to running temp, have you tried letting it idle and wiggling the ecm box wiring harnesses to see if you can duplicate the stumble/miss?

I did just as you said and sure enough, the middle wire between both harness connectors on the ecm box would duplicate the miss almost making it die when wiggled. So does that mean a new ecm?

So I swapped in a race ecm that I had. The old one had cracks throughout the gel and bike ran perfect for two days. Now, check engine light comes on for oxygen sensor and has lost all city drivability. Won't idle and backfires until light comes on then runs okay but starts all over when I come to a stop. Any ideas?

I can't remember maybe someone else could chime in I know that its diff from 07-08 thats when the change took place I would have to check though sorry!

Furious there is an Idle Screw in the Front of the Engine near left Scoop. Now that hopefully the OIL Level is correct! See if you can look up the Manuals at top of the page here on the forum. Before you Tweek on it (Idle Screw)
Make sure to See if to need a TPS reset. You will need ECM SPY for the older bikes. for your computer . Go to Xoptiinside .com to get the Drivers and The ECM SPY program for your Bike.
NOW if working on that sort of Area in not your cup of Tea as so to Speak. Look up here on the Forum (Daves DIY videos all in one thread) worded just like that to see if you would like to learn the methods needed for working on your Buell.
Once you learn the Simple process to reset TPS (Throttle Position Sensor) reset you can save money and you can get the Data Cable purchased from American Sport Bike .com and many other parts TOO/ or see if you can also pick the Cable from Xoptiinside .com while getting the Drivers to make the Software work with the ECM SPY program.
Study up on your Bikes system and IF the TPS needs to be reset you can go from there. Make sure also the Intake Seals are good so the Bike Idles correctly for the 2007 XBs in 1050 Rpms proper setting. There are Videos to watch and some can also be found in You Tube videos as well. Take your time and post up when can. Good Luck. *Jimi
