Im going to by a race ECM for my firebolt. im going to sell my untampered with stock one. There is nothing wrong with it at all and it works great. I just want to try to squeeze out some hp and i dont know how to do my own remaping ETC. So im selling my ECM to the highest bidder. Once I have a buyer i will order the new one and once it gets here and i install it i will then ship mine stock one to you. I can recieve paypal. If you pay by pay pal you can wait to pay me untill i get my new one if you pay by money order you can send it once the deal is made. So who wants it? Let the bidding begin. Here is a pic of the bike its comming out of.

I want to get enough to by my race ecm. The race ECM is $250 plus shipping.
the stock one Brand new with a program and a couple wires its like $750 from buell.com catalog. So I figured I would see what people offer me for it. They dont make them any more and its programable. If I were smart I would learn how to do it myself. I really dont know its its worth $100 or $500 so im looking for the offers to tell me.

I thought the newer ecm will learn on its own to adapt to pipe changes and airbox mods. I'll have to call Michael over at buell and ask. I'd do the same if you haven't already. I saw on here somewhere that someone put a pipe on there bike and the ecm relearned itself and the afr the guy was getting was good. Hate to see you spend the money if this is the case.

I hear what your saying and totally agree. Apparently it has adjusted to the pipe and higher flowing intake mod, but this weekend I took it to a Harley dealership and did a free dyno run. Its only pushing 76 HP and it pops and gurggles more then it should. it runs good for the most part but I dont know any diff cause it has been like this since I got it last year. I am just assuming it will be a lot faster with the Race ECM for the Drummerr exhaust from EBR racing. EBR replyed in an email that they think that ECM which is preprogramed for the Drummer will work good for my set up. Ehats what they are telling me. Are they more concerned about a sale that they will sell me something thats not really what I need? Im not sure if they are hurting and would do that for the sale. I do need help to make the proper choice. if I keep the ECM then I need hel remaping it. I live in ST Louis who can help me!!! I will ride my buell to your house. HELP!!!!!!!

Hey Dave how much HP does your buell have?? Anyone have a dyno done??? What was your real HP, please dont make **** up.

Also has anyone who got a race chip after getting a modded exhaust and modded there intake really get a gain in HP. If yes how much is the average gain?

I would check your afr readings if possible and see what your gettin with the stock ecm. you can tell alot by the afr whether your running lean or rich and you might be able to adjust timing a bit. I haven't tuned a buell yet but just a thought. Oh and to answer your question about buell, no they won't just tell you that ecm setup for the drummer will work to make a sale. Michael is very knowledgable, I spoke with him in person and got alot of great information from him. I would try to locate someone in your area and see if you can connect to it with ecmspy i know someone on here posted a thread about connecting to 08+ bikes with ecmspy cuz i read it and then downloaded the program and Im gona try it on my 09 12r if I have to. But remember that are bikes make 103hp at the crank I believe is what I read and it will be less at the wheel but from 103 to 76 is a huge jump. I would start by searching your local area for someone to help you remap and check afr.

bright....I have the same bike with a hawk. Dyno said 80hp/74ftlb and was running lean. Added drummer ecm and showyo airbox cover thinking the new ecm would richen up the mixture and was very wrong...next dyno said 80hp/67ftlbs. The bike was so lean they said I shouldn't even be riding it so am now back to stock except for hawk. Been waiting for a call from Michael but I know their very busy. Probably gonna send it back and have them unlock it and buy the cable/software

Adding more AIR makes it even more lean.

Brightbuell, again, your pipe is not a Drummer, so you're going to have flat spots and different backpressure meaning different AFV.

No I haven't dydno tuned yet. I was going to take it to JT&S to have it dyno tuned, but I'm going to do data logging with a WB first. I am however Xopti tuned.

Also, the ECM that you're talking about that buell sells with "a couple of wires" is basically buells version of EBR tunable ECM. Your ECM is worth maybe $125. Unless you're taking it somewhere like JT&S, OSB or actually on the dyno at EBR, your bike isn't going to run as good as it could.

So EBR is telling what I want to hear for a diff reason and all I want is to tune my bike. I wonder why they are telling me that it will work great. I told them i had the moded intake. This is all so complicated. I just want to ride my bike with it running correctly. I am willing to fallow steps to get it done. i would pay some one to help me tune how ever it will work. so your saying the EBR drummer ECM is not worth my time. OK

Buckeyebueller so your saying if you would have removed the showyo air box cover it would have ran better? also are you saying you didnt even need to buy the race ECM to begine with cause you could have done the same thing with the stock byu tuning it?

not saying its a waste of $...it just didn't work well with my mods. Figured I'd take a chance with the preprogrammed one and if that didn't work I would just have it unlocked. Might work great with ur pipe. I don't know much about tuning so I'm kinda in the same situation with a tuneable one. Would love to learn more about tuning the stock ecm of that's possible.
