Getting deeper and deeper into my restomod project XB12S.
The Lightning came with a black painted windshield and a carbon fiber airbox cover. The wheels also appear spray painted black.
I wanted to have some color added to all black (well black and carbon fiber). So I was thinking of having the wheels painted orange and finding a matching Valencia orange windshield.
Wow those Valencia orange windshields are hard to find. And very expensive when I found one in Europe.
So I took a bright flashlight to the windshield.
Wow. It had an orange tint under the light paint on the rear side.
A little prodding and peeling and I found an Orange windshield.
Looked at the stock tank cover…
Under plastdip… Valencia Orange..
Scored this time!
Why would someone paint the translucent bikes?
