Howdy,
New member who stumbled upon this site while looking for reviews of an 09 XB12R. Considering purchasing a used one (11,668 mi) from a dealership.

It all sounds stock, but dealer is emailing me fresh photos and additional info as I type.

All this being said, I'm wondering if the asking price is fair. I want to get this intelligent community's insight. The dealer is asking a little over $6K. You all know these bikes better than I, what is the real market for this bike? It seems I can't find more of these XB12Rs, and I live in the SF Bay Area, so I also don't want to miss my opportunity over a few hundred bucks. The bike was just listed this past weekend.

I'm test riding on Saturday (pending photos and add'l info from dealer), any help or insights is appreciated.

Hey welcome! Sounds like a fair price but remember there are probably still gov. fees. licensing. and "shipping costs". you'll end up spending close to 7k if you buy from the dealer. Also remember the riding season as we speak, it's pretty much over. If I were you I'd shop around for something with less miles and wait till the spring or so. Or I would hit up xtremelow and check out his warhouse he has 4sale. Just my .02 good luck with your purchase

I was looking to buy a firebolt. Found to in the LA area and both were 4,000 with over 14000 miles on each of them. They sold quicker than shyt. Im in Tucson, AZ and found an 09 with 6000 miles for 5500. got then down to 5100 cause i had to ship it out here. Gunna be about 500 in taxes. If shippong is needed check out uship.com. Truckers who are already going somewhere will try to fill up the truck from this site. List the pickup zipcode and the drop off zipcode, and they bid for your shipment. Far east side of TX to southern AZ for 300.

Thanks for the info thusfar from everyone. I'm heading out tomorrow to test ride and possibly purchase my first Buell. I'm genuinely hoping everything checks out.
