10,000 RPM aircooled XB12... can it be done?

Do an airbox mod/delete, high flow air filter, throttle body work, header, and muffler paired with a fitting tune and you should gain well beyond 10hp.

I'd guess just doing a K&N and a free flowing muffler with a tune would give you 10hp.

NO! these are roller bearing bottom end motors with architecture dating back to 1957. even the japanese tried to advance the roller bearing crank design with the early kawi Z and KZ models along with Suzuki and all the GS models. neither manufacturer was ever able to get a roller bearing crank and big-end rod assembly to survive any length of time when approaching 5 digit rpm's. and believe me when i tell you that they really tried.
