Okay, this is the situation. New to me 1125 CR with about 600 miles, I installed the K&N, Barkers exhaust, and Eric Buell's computer upgrade. According to EB instructions I do the throttle twist and then let the bike idle for 10 minutes. Even with 2 fans blowing on the engine; I'm not sure of idling 10 minutes. With you riders expeperince is the 10 minute idle needed?

10 minute idle after 'puter upgrade

I idled mine for 10 minutes with no problem. It was a lot cooler then, less than 70F at the time. I might wait until well after dark when it is cooler out.

did mine no prob too, but it was also kooler out. boss did his in FL summer and I believe he said his header turned red and cermaic coat changed colors by the head.
worst case scanario roll that bitch in your house and do it there so your ambient is kooler (guessing you have AC). just place it so the exhaust points to a door and crack it to let the fumes out.
