So I just got back from a road trip, on the way down I did the whole leg in one day total of 1007 miles. Made me curious on how many have gone over that mark on their buell.

As a side note, I-75 between Knoxville and Lexington is absolutely beautiful.

Awesome iron-butt stuff right there! My behind can only handle about half that, and maybe 600 miles if I'm pushing it. Outstanding!

1000 miles in a day. Very nice. [up] Probably not too many people have done that on a Buell. I assume you have a Lightning?

Longest I've gone is 550 miles. I'd like to do an Iron-Butt run someday just to say I did it.

That's 14 hours of riding at 70 MPH constant. Not including stops. That is a L - O - N - G day! But I'll do it some day.

1982-Leola, PA to Daytona Beach non-stop on a 79 honda GL1000. total of 960 miles. needed 2 days to sleep it off.
2008-Gattlinburg, TN to Leola, PA. non-stop on a 2007 BMW 1200RT. total of 666 miles. the absolute mileage limit for me and my boney ass.

Hey Lunatic! Are you from Leola Pa.!? If so, we're almost neighbors!!

yes i am wiggle. in the throes of amish country. mark on here is from harrisburg. seems a few buellers are surfacing here in southern PA. where ya from?

I am actually from Elizabethtown! Grew up in Manheim though. I work here in Brownstown. Small world, really?!

I used to do it about once a month on a XB12R. I'm from MO and worked/stationed in TX. It's not bad once you get used to it. I've always been pretty comfortable on a bike anyways. I have more miles on 2 wheels than I do 4.

Now 2700 miles in 3 days..... I was hurting.

Yeah it definitely hurt, my ass was pretty sore, but the worst was my right hand, it was pretty useless for a couple of days for anything that required more dexterity than using a fork.

I know this is a serious thread but this:
Yeah it definitely hurt, my ass was pretty sore, but the worst was my right hand,
is very funny and sounds kind of pornagraphic :D

I just rode an event called Motomarathon a few weeks back. Did 1900 in 4 days, Days 1 and 4 were over 550 each.. Day 1 wasn't so bad, day 4 well, I was ready to be done.. All that on my 06 Bolt.. I was actually surprised at how comfortable it was..

@Lesley, that does sound pretty bad!

@MotoPhreke this is the second time I have done this trip, only the first time I did one direction of it in 1 day, all the days that I had a break were really enjoyable, I was pleasantly surprised at how well I did after 500 miles in a day

@Vermonator I think I might try the Lake Michigan in 24 hours one, though I might do it in 48 and enjoy the ride a LOT more.

what about Phoenix 2 Dallas- 1037 miles :)

or Ft Worth 2 El Paso- 1200 miles :)

**but in a car :p

cool how u can go 1,000 miles and still be in the same state

Just went to San Francisco and back from Seattle in 2 days, we rode about 1800 miles. Left Saturday morning got home late Sunday.....power run;)
