I have an 09 crazy. Has 2010 motor due to previous engine failure. The other day I went to ride it and I had a very light clutch feeling in the lever.. So I parked it and took the truck. I checked the fluid level in the master cylinder and it was empty.. I filled it and got the clutch lever feel back.. Still a little timid to ride it.. Does anyone have any insight as to what could be going on. I have no clutch weep issues what so ever. No drips at all. I removed the slave cylinder cap and it was also dry.. Any help would be appreciated.. Thanks in advance...

If it were me id go ahead and pull the clutch cover just to verify that it didn't somehow leak into the diaphragm area.

Any idea if buell had a slave revision on the 2010? Supposedly the 2009 also had a revision slave but they still had issues.

Sounds like if the reservoir was empty you may have air in the line and need to bleed it

The fluid had to go somewhere!

Fill it, bleed it and clean it well.
Then zip tie the clutch lever to the bars (pressurizing the system) and check for leaks. If you don't see any right away, leave it that way overnight and check in the morning.
Even if you don't find a leak... if you cut off the zip tie in the morning and the clutch lever is dead (even if it pumps up), you have a small leak somewhere and I'd guess the slave diaphragm, or master cylinder piston.

Instead if you cut off the zip tie in the morning and the clutch still works, your fine. Go ride it. It was a weird anomaly like shaking loose an old air bubble.

After filling it. I rode it to work and it started to lighten up after 25 miles or so.. I will double check to see if all the air is out of the line.. Thanks guys
