Recap, The last dyno I did ended with 102 hp and 76 tq. Not bad, but i was expecting more. As soon as i got the bike home from the dyno i pulled the plugs and did a compression check. 170 psi front and rear. That told me the motor was hurt. I should have had 190+ psi. The culprit ended up being extreme valve float at upper rpms causing the valves to leak. I made 102/76 with 4 leaking valves. Ok, After that I got in touch with Aaron Wilson at Hammer Performance. This guy knows his stuff. I sent Hammer my top end for a complete redo. 3 months later i got my stuff back. They had to order custom pistons from CP is why it took them so long. Im still waiting on cams from Zippers, so theres not much i can do assembly wise until they show up. Wont be long though. Heres a few pics of the new stuff.

30 degree Full Dome pistons made specifically for this application

Headwork. Much better valvertrain than before. i can rev .600 lift cams to 8500 rpms with this setup

So now, compared to last dyno, ill have bigger valves, bigger cams, much higher compression 11.9:1 is what the new build makes, ported TB 52mm up from 49mm, A billet primary that shaved 4.5 lbs off the rotating assembly. 120hp is still the goal.

I hate you.

Dont forget to mention the work you had done on the crank at Dark Horse. Mikes motor sounds insane and revs so quick and smooth.

My 1170 is going to be 12 gearing also.

I’m hoping for 120hp and 90ish tq at 8400 rpms. I’ll post pics as I build the motor and get dyno results. We are getting close ladies and gentlemen.

Zippers just called. Cams are ready and shipping today. Lots to do, but I’m gonna try to have the motor built by the end of the weekend.

Heat cycles done, 50 mile trip done, and now I gotta do a 500 mile break in. Fired up first hit. Running very well for not having a solid tune yet. No leaks of any kind. She’s making all the rite noises. I’ll try to get some videos uploaded soon. Stay tuned

I dont know what the big deal is. My bike came stock with a 1203 and I'm gonna make it a 1275. Must be some XB9 thing. :black_eyed:
