They spec a lot of bikes with a lot of stuff that a lot of us have changed - just sayin'

I will also be giving the 150 a try on my next front tire change and will report

That front fender just looks so tiny with that fat front tire! But none the less. That's a fantastically superb piece of machinery turbo. You did a great job on your bike!

So you have not changed a thing on your bike 100% stock in an effort to set yourself apart even just a little bit. Just sayin.

Haven't done anything to degrade its handling capabilities. \\

Then again, 95% of the people that ride bikes can't hack it in the corners and aren't concerned with handling.

KONA! damn right... I had some sweet mods..

Is it likely that changing the tires to a differerent size than stock will notably change the handling characteristics? Yes. Does such change to the handling characteristics necessarily mean that the handling is now ruined or worse? No. Does it mean that it is different? Yes. Not necessarily something that one can't adjust for or acclimate or adapt one's self to.

I might have tried it long ago, except I searched the web and didnt find a sport radial in that size, they were all bias or touring tires.Unless you want a rear tire.

Got my tire on today... Only rode like 2 miles it does seem a little bit more tippy but that could just be cuz its new ill ride around some more this weekend

I used to do auto-cross racing in my car, and I've learned a good deal about tires and their sizes.

Please correct me if I'm wrong, because I know about car tires more than motorcycle tires. Anyway, the deal with tire sizes is this:

A typical tire size is 120/70-ZR17

what that means is 120mm wide, side wall of 70% the width of the tire,ZR speed rating, 17 inch diameter.

So if you want a wider tire, and you're worried about the height, you can do the math and get a wider tire with the same height.

The exact same height tire for a 130 width would be 130/64.6153-ZR17

Now obviously you're not going to get a tire of that size. However if you push the width out to 140mm you'd get a better fill between the forks, and a 140/60-ZR17 is the exact same height as a 120/70-ZR17

120/70 = 84mm sidewall
140/60 = 84mm sidewall

I hope that info is useful to someone.
