Hey gents,
On the way home from the GF's house I noticed my HUD shut off again, and displayed the good old "System Voltage" deal. I switched it over to display the voltage and a whopping 18 volts! Good lord! I got it home and captured it on vid. I will set up a link to the vid on youtube when it gets done processing. Looks like this weekend will be spent with my bike at Harley.

Hopefully it will be covered under warranty. As for price, how much would a new r/r run me?

Sweet! If for any reason it isnt covered I will let you know. Thanks for all of the info and help, gents!

I ordered that CE605SB series r/r from Jack @ roadster cycle. I have not installed it yet. It is a VERY heavy unit and is somewhat bigger compared to the stocker. This thing feels and looks like a quality product and he supplies a nice package with wiring and connectors. According to Jack it requires a lot of air moving over it to keep it cool. I have been fooling around trying to find a good location up front like the XB VR but it's not as simple as it sounds.

Well tomorrow i will be bringing it down to brandon to have it looked at. Bringing my video as proof. Hope all goes well!

It has been at Harley since Saturday. They rode 25 miles on the bike and could not replicate it. They gave me a call and I told them I had it on video from two different cameras. They told me they would call "the factory" and tell them the symptoms. If they need to replace something, they will. I swear to god if they did nothing but waste my gas and time as well as charge me a storage fee, I'm going to deck somebody.

It's like I'm going through a withdrawal without my bike-- I can't do anything. It's my only mode of transportation and I have no freedom-- except from work I use my brother's VROD. God I just want this to be done.

This is exactly why I suggested what I did to fix it. I know taking it to hd is a waste of time most of the time. Ooooh well, it's your time, not mine.

I just wajt to see if they wil fix it under warranty. If not i will do it myself.

Just got the bike back today. Harley changed out the VR and called it done. All covered under warranty. So far, so good.

Good to have it fixed and your bike back. Did you talk them into using '08 stator?

I did not mention anything about an 08 stator, but the vr was replaced. They told me they weren't able to replicate the problem, so they would not be able to replace anything. I emailed the service tech the video, and they had it replaced and ready within a few hours. Glad i got that video!
