Not sure if this topic has been done to death but here goes...
Looking for opinions on the change up from 180 to 190 rear.
Any pros and cons to doing this...anyone out there made the change and if so what differences were there if any.

I've got a 190 on my bike. Now does it belong there?? Not exactly....I have it for looks. Does it perform better then the 180?? I can't tell the difference at all. But let me say this. A 190 belongs on a 6 inch wheel. The XB wheel is a 5.5 inch wheel so you'd be pinching it slightly by using on the XB wheel. Another thing to remember is 190/55 will not fit. You'll have clearance problems with that tire. The 190/50 fits like a charm.

How 'bout 210?? I saw one once and it looks awesome!
Don't know about the changes you'll have to make though..

210 they don't make a 210. They make a 200 and that fits also but you'll need to remove your upper rear belt guard or mod it. Then you'll need your wheel widened to a minimum of 6 inches.

Thanks BPG! I new i saw it right!! almost started to doubt my memory....
what exectly do i have to change to fit it??
all that what Bads1 said??

Yeah your right, but its a cruiser tire. Dunlop and other manufactures make a 200 that is performance minded and made in sticky compounds because it is a Sportbike tire.

Just remember that goin too fat on a tire can tend to limit your handling. Check out the new Yamaha/Star raider write up on Motorcycledaily.com and they tell you how much R&D work went into the handling aspect since a cruiser nowdadays MUST have a fat rear meat.

Dunlop Qualifiers - 200/50zr-17

Metzeler Sportec M3 - 200/50zr-17

Pirelli Diablo - 200/50zr-17

Maxxis Supermaxx - 200/50zr-17

These aren't cruiser tires......

BadS1 was correct about the 210. That particular tire is designed for a cruiser bike, so the tire isnt designed to be on a sportbike. They have different constructions and compounds. The other tires I listed are made for sportbikes.
