Hi wise guys!

Just bought 2 rolls of 2" x 15ft DEI titanium wrap, but now I'm afraid that I have screwed up.. - meaning that 15ft should be enough to wrap the front (left side) pipe from the top down to the middle of the "Y", but it might be too short for the rear (right side) pipe and bottom part starting from "Y"

Have anybody done that? Is that possible?
Or shall I exchange wrap and get 50ft roll right away?

Thanks! ;)

Use steel ties or safety wire where one runs out and keep trucking.

Should not have any issues doing this, as that is what I did.

Good luck!

I bought the 50 ft roll and used about 40 feet of it. I've seen it done with the smaller rolls, they had wider overlaping.

By the way if you need Stainless steel ties, lowes carries then in the same section as the zip ties. They are 11 inches long, 10 to a pack and they are only 4.83.

read some of the threads on here and several videos on youtube from DEI on exhaust wrap. make sure you go all the way to where the header enters the engine and have no bare spots so you dont have hot spots . oh and make sure the headers are all clean no dirt or oil, AND ABSOLUTELY NO CORROSION(RUST) on the headers what so ever...
if your affraid of corrosion later on you can paint the headers with VHT header paint first to help give a little more protection not much , cure the paint first before you put on wrap. also to help prevent corrosion in the future if they get wet run bike until wrap is dry.

The-question-is-to-Header-wrap-or-not

i used the DEI kit (black wrap) for motorcycles that has the kit includes two 2" x 15 foot rolls of Black exhaust wrap, eight 8" & four 14" stainless steel Locking Ties to secure wrap and Black HT Silicone Coating spray that penetrates, seals, protects and preserves wrap. it was enough for me, if you take your time and also i wrapped and then rewrapped mine probably 3-4 times until i got it to look good taking my time!

here is some links for removing headers and engine rotate.
