I bought these for a Kawi I was going to cafe out but decided to leave the chrome header as is instead of wrapping it. I didn't feel like wrapping the header on my lightning as my pipes look fine and the heat doesn't bother me. These have been sitting in spare parts box for about a year now because of it. Both the wrap and the steel cable ties were purchased from Dennis Kirk and have never been opened or used.
