2001 x1 won't start

Okay so I just bought the bike about 2 and half weeks ago. I changed the spark plugs out on it and after I put everything back together it won't start. And to top it off all of sudden the cluster doesn't work either it flashes the mileage for about a second and then its gone. Any suggestions?

Congratulations on the purchase! Did it ever start properly, or was it only after replacing the spark plugs?

You should backtrace from where you don't have power to where you do. If it's like my model, the Ignition relay provides power to all sorts of devices. Make sure it puts out and holds 12 V when the ignition switch is On.

What checks have you done so far? What is the battery voltage with the switch Off vs On? Does anything else work (headlights, fuel pump, etc)?
