2003 xb9r running terrible ! PLZ HELP!

hi my firebolt was running bad wouldnt idle and had flatspots tried heaps of stuff turned out to be throttle linkage loose on side of throttle body try tightening the 10mm nut worked for me

I now have dumb question before i go fooling with ECMSPY. When you say go ride in learn mode, do you have to plut ECM back in and take it out of learn mode or is like a vehicle PCM where it is just constantly learning? Thank you

It will do it by itself, you dont have to rehook up ecmspy

i will say there is a ton of knowledge on this forum/i been a gm tech for 30yrs/and when i bought my 03 buell i realized i needed some help to figure out a engine check light/i had low voltage and both coil front and rear codes/and then the neutral light/the program is great the ecmspy/you can fix alot of problems/ how ever not all systems are fail safe/after a new battery the low voltage code would stay off but the coil would not/i bought 2 coils on line/then one of you guys said do a running test i think and i then realized i had ecm failure open ground in the ecm/think it was the #9 gray wire/ i replaced the ecm plugged in the ecmspy and its been fine ever since. is it normal for the fuel pump to be heard at start up?whine? thanks

Yes, the whining and whooshing is common.

THANK YOU i saw the PUMP at $335.00 OUCH/i read a post they said it was a bad fuel filter on the pump/man you gota rip this thing apart to get that pump out according to the manual.when i pour fuel i use a automotive paint strainer in the funnel.in newyork all the fuel has ethanol/so i mix vp with non ethanol 91 octane
