2003 XB9R tranny questions

My gears aren't lined up right and I can't make sense of things right now. I'm missing something. As a result, I don't want to sell off any parts that I may need later in case I F$&@# it all up. I'll let you know.

Same thing happened to my xb, had to replace shift drum, forks and shaft, gears were polished the just had some light nicks, I went ahead and put the xb9 pistons in mine while the shop had it torn down and new bearings as well just make sure you check everything while you have it torn down and if you want more power now would be a great time for mods! Wish I would have went with a 1250 kit now!

I am very frustrated about this rebuild. I can't find used gears or tranny parts anywhere. I though these parts would be easy to find in surplus. I may need to part this bike out and sell everything because I can afford the dealership prices for transmission parts. What a drag.

What is the proper way to check fluid on xb9r transmission?[cool]

Let me know. I am still looking for transmission parts. Spring is coming and the bike is just sitting on the table completely apart.

yo if your not in a big hurry i have a blown up xb12 motor that i have been meaning to crack open. not sure if they are the same but if so we can work something out. but you'll have to give me a couple of weeks. i have a few irons in the fire
