Wanted to start saying that you guys do a great job on here answering questions and that is why I logged on today. Problem one: When in neutral and the kickstand is down and I let out on the clutch it shuts off quick, with kickstand up it doesn't. Problem two: The battery is always being drained when shut off. I pulled the fuse box cover and found that the 30 amp fuse is draining power when bike is shut off. What does that fuse do? (Can't find the book moved twice) Bike only has 2550 miles on it and I would like to ride it. Thanks for all your help....Rob

I can't help with the fuse, but the issue with the engine kill is the neutral safety switch is bad, and thinks the bike is in gear with the stand down. that circuit has three switches in it, the clutch lever, the stand switch, and the neutral switch. Hope that Helps, and Welcome to the board.

30 Amp is the "Main" fuse. It goes to the Starter, Battery, Voltage Regulator, Cooling fan, etc. Probably rubbed the insulation off one of the wires going through your steering head. Be especially mindful of red wires and hopefully you'll find it. Good luck with the hunt and Welcome to the Forum!

Edit: And also check the underseat area. Things are pretty tight in there and it wouldn't be the first time.
