I have '05 Lightning that needs trans work. I'm the second owner and had it for 5-6 years and about 100 miles. Recently I started riding it and after 20 miles of highway riding trans wouldn't go lower than 4th gear. I took the primary cover off to inspect the shifting mechanism and it seamed ok to me so either I'm missing something or there is internal problem. At this point I don't have time to get involved with this so I rather sell it.
Other than transmission issue bike is pretty good. About a year ago plastics were painted 'Cadillac White Pearl' by the body shop, not a backyard job. Blinkers were replaced with Buell OEM LEDs from 1125 models, both front and rear. Bike has Ulysses factory 1" drop foot pegs. Rear tire has 100mi on it. Battery is 2 years old. Mileage is around 4500. Bike has been dropped at one point by previous (1st) owner and there are scratches and digs here and there that were repaired/painted.
Bike runs/idles fine and there aren't any known problems other than shifting issue. Title is clean and in my possession. Pictures are not the most recent but bike looks identical other than blinkers and cheese grater.
Price is firm $3500.
