Hello I'm new here and a soon to be first time Buell owner.
I've been riding & racing HD's for 25 yrs but I'm ready to build my ultimate mountain racer. I've bought a 2006 Firebolt XB12 (won't be here till next week) Even though it will be street legal I'm going to build it for racing up and down the Mts around here ( Deals Gap and the Snake). Plans so far are for a 90ci, 12/1cr, RSR fuel injection and computer, Carbon-fiber & Ti exhaust, Parker XR heads, LRB breaks and Smith reworked forks with a WP rear shock. Michelin tires and Sunoco 260 race fuel.
Any suggestions or input?

Brembo brakes. If you are changing rims go with Marchesini. There's a company in California called QTM that specializes in adapting both those brands to just about any bike.

brakes: change to wave rotor front & rear, also a brembo caliper on the rear wouldn't be bad.

how long do you plan on riding it?
if you want to ride it for some time, you have to open her up and measure out the crank, cause with that compression it's bound to go crooked.

if you set up that fuel injection, i would really like to see the outturn of that on a dyno...;)
