2008 Buell 1125R: A Good Deal?

Hey gents,
I was recently looking on craigslist in my area and found a 2008 1125R w/ 2k miles for $5300. Bike is 25th anniv in black w/ blue frame, and is all stock. I just wanted to know if this is a good deal, or if I coulc get him down to $5K. Thanks

Its a decent price but its craigslist. Its a Buell so noone is knocking down doors to buy it. I am sure they will take 5k.

I went to see it and it's great. The rear clear turn signals areextremely dim though. Is this normal, or a wiring problem?

The term "dim" is all relative. No they should not be dim, you should be able to see them clearly from behind the bike even in the day.

But would that really stop you from buying it?

No, but I need to get him down to $5K tops. He is asking 5300, but he says harley will give him 5200 for it. I am not looking to spend any more than 5k tops. I am going tomorrow morning to see if we can hammer out a deal, but if not, that is just money in my pocket.

How did you make out?

I couldn't see Harley giving $5200 for it even on a trade as they will want to nake money on it re-selling it.

He said no to 5,000 so I told him GLWS. Said a dealer is giving him 5200, so good luck guy. I really want it, but then again I love all buells. I just figure that 5k will do nothing but grow in future, so here goes!
