2010 XB12Scg fuel drip

Is this normal? every time I fill my tank I get fuel dripping out of my overflow tube/line.

I get it, too. Going to try filling the tank a little less, or filling it on the side stand, to see if that helps.

my 07 did that and i found that the two bolts that secure the overfill?breather tube had backed out. took apart and checked the o ring. put it back together and vwalla no more leak. hope this helps

I found out if you fill when the bike is hot the fuel expands and comes out the over flow. I don't fill it up as far if Im going to drive and park it, if I'm on the road I fill it up all the way.

You're just filling the tank a bit to high. No worries. Just add a little less gas. Easy fix!!!

I just fill mine to the inside hole and no drips. If I fill more than that it drips.

The fuel expansion on a hot bike explains a lot. I'll take the good advice and fill a little less.

I have an 09SS that did the same thing. I fill it standing on the bike and fill to about 1/2 an inch below the lip and problem solved.

At or just below the lip while standing should solve the problem. Unless of course it's an uber hot day and you don't ride far after filling it up. You risk expansion and little leakage.
