I did not realize when I had tires mounted yesterday that on the rotor side of the 3 bearing rear wheel, there is a thin spacer. The PO had put this on the bike and gave me the original 2 bearing wheel and a spare Pirelli Scorpion tire which I now appreciate a lot since that tire costs about $267. Anyways the 2 bearing wheel has no spacers and it has a different axle, so I did or do know a little about it. Anyways..... This spacer is so thin it looks like it is actually part of the dust cover, my excuse for not noticing it, really it is camo'd on the wheel it is so small. It stayed in there during the mount and balance and the commute to and from CG until I unloaded and the dang thing jumped out and made a run for it when i bounced the wheel a little taken it out of the van.
How do you clean the glue off from the old weights? I washed the wheels and since they are painted I used car wash soap, and it did not do anyting to remove those old glue squares on the wheels? Also Any Suggestions also on cleaning and keeping the wheels clean?

I know what you mean about the spacer. My 2010 has it and the 04 doesn't. I almost lost the spacer as well. Then I almost forgot to reinstall it.

I usually try and roll some of the glue up with the pad of my thumb then pick it off. If it won't roll up and just smears, I usually dab a little "Goo Gone" or gasoline on a rag and wipe gently until the glue is gone. About anything flammable should get the glue working off.
