30,000 miles on a buell?anyone?

august 2009.superstreetbike say "many examples claim their motors are reliable up to 30,000 miles".anyone done that and did anyone in this greatest of all buell forums have a firebolt in the magazine?

I'm gettin close. 26k on a 04xb12s Broken clutch cable @8k. So far only issue and I beat the heck outta her.

Yep - my '06 Uly just passed 96,700km (60,086 miles) so that is neatly double.

I have had several electrical odds and ends, clutch cable, fork seals, couple of belts but the engine has never been opened. Mind you, the engine was noisy when it was new and it really sounds like **** now.

What is the secret? - it is ridden firmly but not thrashed, always warmed up before I ride it, the oil (both holes) has been changed absolutely religiously at 4,000km intervals (nothin; fancy - just HD 20w50 and Formula+).

I have almost 29k on my 07 Lightning Bolt. I beat the piss out of it every chance I get. Most of the miles in extreme heat (south Texas). Royal Purple changed regularly. My engine makes no more noise than the day I bought it July 07.
