Well just got back from the bonneville salt flats....
took my 06 Firebolt....so glad to be home!

everything but the tires exhaust air box and map are stock....i made a tank bag out of a backpack and strapped my sleeping bag and tent on with bungies. I also had a backpack on...Haha I can't believe I actually did it!
 
slippery!...haha it did great except for the high traveled area where it was loose like sand!.....the worst part of the trip was the side winds in Nebraska!!!
 
Ha my dad was just telling me that on his trip to Sturgis the worst state to ride in was Nebraska.

Did you top the bike out on the flats?
 
Cool pics! Nice to see other long-distance Buellers :) I did a 2600 km round trip to Lapland on July. Most of my trip was done in 6 days too, but then spent 1½ weeks in summer cottage before the last 300 km to home.
But total 3500 MILES in 6 days... That's really something...!!! Gotta appreciate that :)
 
I didn't race at the flats, was worried about harming the bike and not making it back....The speed limit on the salt during speed week is 55mph.
