5-0dro XB Case Sliders

We've been sending a bunch of these out as of late. Let's hear your feedback on them! We always like to hear from out loyal customers!

Hey 50,
I am in the market for a set of sliders. Your axle sliders have already saved me from having to buy a swingarm for my '05, so I am leaning your way. I like a low profile look when it comes to branding though. I think the primary side branding on your case sliders is fine, but I am not too keen on the big ol' "50dro" on the points cone. While I get that you want to sell more, you can bet your ass that if someone asked, I'd tell them exactly where they should pick up a set (did I mention I don't have to buy a swingarm thanks to you?). Do you have an alternative to the current style in the works? Maybe a pegasus, a written "Buell", or to avoid licensing issues, a tough geometric pattern or just blank?

Thanks!

Glad to hear the axle sliders did their job. We sell replacements to existing customers. If you're interested, please email us for details.

Regarding the timing cover slider: We don't have anything in the works to change it. It has actually been very well received by our customers. I understand where you're coming from on the subdued branding...We made it as small as can be machined without issue for this reason. I'm not sure if you have seen one in person or not but the logo doesn't really jump out at you as much as you may think since it's black on black. Most of the photos that we and others have posted of it are close-up since they are focusing on the part. Here's a few shots of the whole side of the bike. Let us know what you think...

Well...This is honestly new feedback to us.

Let's hear from you all for or against the logo and IF the feedback is overwhelmingly against the logo then we will consider making it blank in the next build. If this is done, there will not be an option though...one way or another. Any reference to Buell or the pegasus logo is off the table do to trademarks etc.

After all, those of you that have been here for a while know that we're feedback junkies. These parts are for you and your bikes...Your voice does go a long way with us!

Thanks! [up]

I personally love the brand name and logo on my pulley plate, 08+ case sliders, stickers on my Trex Stands, and one of my favorite shirts to wear around!

Its so subtle that I actually like having it there. Has anyone gone the other way and made it stick out more by putting paint marker on the logo so it sticks out from the case cover? I'd be interested to see what that looks like.

We always hate to see a Bueller go down but are happy to see our products help keep their Buells on the road when the sometimes inevitable happens. We received these pics from a customer that dropped his Buell at around 50 mph. Gladly, he is doing OK as well. As you can see, there is no damage to the engine case. After a few replacement parts, he'll be back on the road and as good as new. [cool]

I really need some of these. I'll be hitting you up 5-0dro after tax season. You dont happen to have them in cherry red translucid?

Ya, that is my xb sandro was showing, those sliders are the shit. I actually drove the bike home. I got some replacements on order and sandro is always great to work with. Keep up the great job!

Sounds good Bello! [up] Sorry, just black...

Thanks for the kind words vaxb12r! Glad you and the bike are OK. [up]

Four days ago I had a spill on my Lightning and the sliders (from 5-0dro) did their job. Frame pucks too.

Thanks Dragonslayer! [up] I didn't want to mention your incident until I had pics for fear of someone saying the infamous "pics or it didn't happen!" LOL

But in this case folks...It was our axle sliders AND 03-07 timing cover slider that saved the day (As well as the OEM frame puck as stated)

Couldn't be happier to have a hand in keeping these 2 Buells (and many others) on the road. :D Be safe out there folks!

I work in the print/web/broadcast design industry and I can say that the branding on the product is nice and low-key. Not drawing any unnecessary attention away from your ride. I have a set and they blend right into the bikes form and I wouldn't realize they are there until an accident (I did have a low-side impact at low speed at the track) occurred and I didn't have to buy a new case or swingarm.

And it would be business suicide not to brand your product.

Cheers!

Thanks so much for the positive feedback! Contact us if you need replacement parts! [up]

I had a set on my previous 09 xb12scg. Had a run in with a deer. Walked away but the bike was totaled by insurance due to frame damage. But the engine case was in perfect condition. Needless to say, the very first mod I did when I got my new scg was a set of sliders. This is a must before considering any other mod IMO. [up]

Thanks for sharing & for the repeat business Jay! Glad they worked for you. Adding our axle sliders to this setup makes for an even more well protected bike. [up]
