The number one cause of motorcyclist death is people taking an ordinary left hand turn, right in front of the bike. They check their mirrors, they flick on their turn signals, and then they calmly and deliberately proceed to murder you.

Wow no one bit on this huh? I thought it was an awesome article worth a few chuckles/

nice find but the #5 thing, is a bit wrong, it is triggered by a electronic magnetic field from the wires under the pavement. just lower your kick/side stand it's steel onto the wire groves it will set it off, the plastic and aluminium in bike wont set off the light trigger ... common myth it's weight triggered.

and for #4 i say this..

I have to agree, cagers look right at you and then pull out. They don't do it when I'm driving my Silverado, why is that?

I wave to scooters, I'd ride one if I had one.

Those spiders are serious business. I was at a bike night once and saw some kids bike completely covered in baby spiders. Came back around later and they were all gone. An egg sack must've hatched, and I'm glad that I wasn't sitting on the bike when it happened. I would've just jumped off while I was going 60mph without a thought.

That was awesome! All true and super funny :D I live in California and now leave for work at a normal time 7:30AM, instead of 4:00AM and do lane split, it's kind of harry at times but not all crazy like when guys do it at highway speeds! Yikes! Now that scares me [confused]

I admit I have fallen to the big scooter wave
Ha ha... Me too... Some of the newer bigger ones look like motorcycles until you are parallel to them :D I've done it too.

I think most scooter riders wave at us just to trick us into waving bake, they all post on their forums about how many of "us" they "got" that day :(

I can't not wave to someone on a scooter because then I'd have to stop picking on Harley riders for not waving to people on sportbikes.

I wish they would make lane splitting legal here. I'm not looking for anything crazy, but I have getting stuck in construction traffic and sitting there for 30 minutes straight staring down this mile long gap in traffic that I could easily just cruise down through.

I wave at scooter riders first, I like the confused wave I get back. :D

And you can also run red lights in WI. [up]
