80 MPT

MPT = Miles per Tank!!! WTF!!! so question... if the Battery dies, does that reset the miles? cause My tank light just came on... and I've only driven 80 miles. No running weird no sputtering, and doesn't smell to rich. Any Ideas?

Are you referring to trip odometer resetting? If so, i believe it would do that if there is no power to it.

My battery has died before and it seems like it did reset the trip, but I cant be for sure.

Try disconnecting the battery on purpose, taking note of the miles on the trip and see if it resets.

wow... thats really bad! After all of my mods I was getting roughly about 150 to 160 a tank (Race ECM, Breather Mod, New Filter, and Exhaust. 3.8 gallon tank right?

damn, i really don't ride her hard all the time either, i know there have been weekends that i burn up some fuel. but i've had alot of tanks just doing 30-50 around town and gotten **** for mpg's. im not too worried at this moment, but once, i add the k&n and exhaust and get her tuned i'll start worrying about that.

It may depend on what gear you are running between 30-50 mph. If you are running lower gears and having higher rpms this may be causeing you to have lower gas milage than some of the other people.

I'm about to do a 5K servicing so I'll check the battery and reset everything while I'm doing that.
