80mph + on a buell

Help Support Buellxb Forum:

Ive been on my 04 lightning for about 2 months and no wobbles at 100+. Runs steady quick and fast.

2010 XB12Scg here and like blott01 says:
Never felt a wobble all the way to a couple top outs, just get a good tuck so your head doesn't get ripped back at 140 and be smooth with your inputs

i took my 1125R to speedo-speed 175mph but had the steer damper and full fairings. Im doing the R-CR conversion and I know there is no way I can run that fast and hangon to a bike with no fairings. Check her out on my pics. Full carbonfiber....

Had mine for about 2 years now and up to 135mph several times on the GPS. Typical V twin up to 70 then smoothes out to redline.putting Dynabeads in helped i think.

I will get a little wobble while I'm wot and heading up to top speed but its nothing major. If you do have any problems, like everyone said before, download the manual and set up your suspension for your weight and then fine tune it from there and if that doesn't fix it check tire pressure also 15psi isn't too fun I'm running 36 rear and 34 front and haven't had any problems, also you can consider a steering damper for when your feeling a little adventurous in the twisties, I plan on getting one after I get my new tires on.

My XB9SX didnt have a problem doing 115-120 steady. I havent had my new XB12SS up there yet but now that springs here I will let you know. but Im sure its even better at those speeds

at 80 i feel as though i could let go of the handlebas, stand up, smoke a cigar, eat my lunch, and then continue on with no problems.

Tires the air pressure, the balance, The suspension needs to be set up for your weight plus maybe 5+ lbs if you use a back pack. The wear of the tires. Always give your bike a good inspection AT least once a week.I check tires with a good look every morning before heading in to the shop.
