Well finally took my CR into the dealership, Cowboy's Alamo City HD for the voltage trouble. I went in this afternoon. Spoke with David who has an 08 1125R. Said they were available to check her out. After about an hour of talking to a friend of mine, Paul, in sales he found me and told me what they found. He said there was no charging from the system and that it was more than likely the stator. Asked if I wanted to leave the bike. I told them I couldnt but I would be back in the morning.

They said no problem and put my bike back together. Spoke with the mechanic about her showing two legs grounding out. Then I spoke with the service manager that they were gonna try to find the stator around the area HD dealerships and if not have the part ordered and on hand in about four days. Suffice to say everything is under warranty.

Its so cool when there are actual Buell riders in the dealership and you aint treated like the ugly cousin noone talks to at the family reunion.

Thats good to hear, it would be cool if there was a list of Harley dealers that work on Buells, Calumet Harley Davidson in Indiana has been great to me.

Pigtrail Harley Davidson in Rogers Arkansas has always been excellent. Still have mechanics that appreciate Buells.

Santa Fe HD is pretty good (Santa Fe, NM) the majority of the mechanics are sport bike riders, and most of them ride Buells. A few of the main managers there Race Buells at our local track, and are really helpful with them. The mechanic I usually ask for put about 30K miles on his 1125R in under a year, and has re-built his from the ground up several times...just because. I travel about 70 miles out of my way to go to this place because the one closest to me really just specializes in Harley...even though it is a Buell store too. it always takes weeks if I take my bike there to be serviced...so I just dont anymore.

I dropped by Alamo City HD earlier in the day and was told that the stator was being picked up in Austin and my bike would be ready by this evening. Hopefully that will take care of it for a good while. Gotta give props to them for taking care of me.

Nice to see that customer service still exist fron HD dealers. Its always the best way to get a customer for life and to build a clientele by word of mouth.

Picked up my bike on Saturday and went for a ride today. So far so good. No problems at all. The fans were running and in any traffic the volts never went below 13.7. Hopefully get another 4000 miles before I gotta take it in again.

Also put on a set of Dunlop Q2 and what a difference. Made tip in easier and I was able to hold the line with more confidence. Even with moisture on the pavement, she never felt tail happy or the front feel like it was going to wash out.

I have just fallen in love with my bike again!;)

Stopped by my local HD dealership this past weekend (on my Ducati, wearing sportbike gear -got some strange looks, lol)

Anyways, I was there to pick up an inspection sticker plate, 2 of 3 parts guys there had Buell shirts, but other than that there was not a single Buell anything in the showroom!!! Neither Bike, nor part.

Of course they did have a few used Buells out front (all overpriced, and one of which is the owners personal white 1125r) and a trio of Blasts that I assume were former MSR riders? There may have been more, but certainly there wasn't much evidence left that new Buells used to be sold there.
