A quick Question

I have had several fuel injected bikes, and I noticed that my Buell XB12S has quite a loud fuel pump. Is it normal to hear the fuel pump buzzing when the engine is idling (I have a Special OPS exhaust)?

i got a 2005 xb9r, and i hear mine, stock exhaust. They are loud, theres nothing wrong with that, you wanna hear vice NOT hearing it.

You could definitely hear it on my Triumph too. Once I realized what it was I never really thought much about it again.

Thanks for all the replies. Now I know it's normal and I won't worry about my fuel pump going out and leaving me on the side of the road.

O4 XB12R...can hear, fan is also loud (mechanically loud)

05 XB12S...can't hear with engine running (very quiet)

09 1125cr...same as "S", even on initial startup, this one's quiet.

lol i thought mine was going out for the longest time, on my lightning but it is just loud.

I'm not sure what years it applies to, but it seems like all 03's are obnoxiously loud.
