A quick rant but definitely worth thinking about.

RegulatorMIA,

Welcome. I don't have any hard feelings, just a quick rant. I think what your club does is wonderful for the community. A little about me: I listen to all types of music, I have tons of black friends. I just have one question.

In your clubs Purple Code they state that they help young BLACK males and the BLACK females.

So, I guess my question is, "Why only help young BLACK males and BLACK females? Why stereotype the people you help when they don't like to be stereotyped in the first place? If I had a motorcycle club and stated that we helped young WHITE males and WHITE females I would be labeled as a racist. I'm not labeling your club racist in anyway because I think your club is doing a great job. Just would like to see you help anybody that needs help. It may just be something to bring up at your next club meeting and see what everyone else thinks. Let's stop racism across the board.

Keep up the good work and ride hard.

[up] to Cru for having the balls to start this. Now lemme run and get some popcorn & a mountain dew.... I'll be back to watch the fireworks. :D

lol no bombs exploding here its a very good point. that code (the purple code) was around way before i was old enough to ride bikes, so whatever. times change but some things (like the purple code) never will. and in case you didn't notice, i'm clearly not black and it doesn't really bother me. i get people sometimes asking me what its like to be the only white person at a party or a function and the people that ask things like that i just brush off as ignorant. racism is a horrible thing and the amount of ignorant people still left in this world just blows my mind on a daily basis. to me, its not about race, its about riding, brotherhood and family and what i have with my club has nothing to do with race. i guess i'm just kind of rambling now but its late and school sucks so i'm just going to stop and go to bed lol. more to follow :)

awe my pizza just got here . . i was getting all ready too :(

TO BE CONTINUED.........

its like a bad ending to a good movie

eh i wouldn't be to worried about it... i'm sure someone will have a much stronger opinion than i do about it lol

Thanks for the positive response Regulator. You're exactly right when you say it's about riding, brotherhood and family. I definitely agree with you there. I just can't wait for the day that black people let go of racism and stop using it as a tool.

anytime man, anytime. the unfortunate thing about black people using racism as a tool is there are just as many white people using that tool as well. what a lot of people dont seem to realize is we now live in a world diverse enough that racism goes in every direction, not just white vs black. and not everyone holds onto things... just as i see my club as my family, not as a race, they see the same in me. family is all it is, and all it should be :D

I like your thought man...Keep it real and ride hard. Maybe propose a change in the wording of "The Purple Code" in your next meeting though now that your club is diverse.

Can't wait to see your new bike when you get it.

yea i can't wait to see it either... moving somewhere with a garage when i get back to va, so that will help. also buying a gun. and an alarm. and go figure the kryptonite super cable and disc lock showed up about 4 days after the 'busa got stolen. its ok, they'll be waiting for the xb. oh and almost forgot to mention, also probably picking up a blast for the wife sometime next spring since she's taken an interest in learning to ride :D :D :D

at least she wants to ride man. i think it is so cool that my wife is taking an interest in motorcycles :D. oh and the two old folks (lol) on the cruisers in that one picture in my other thread are my mom and pops :D

Cool. My parents are divorced. My dad has a 2005 Road King Classic. my mom has a 2006 Sportster Special and my step dad has a Heritage softail custom. I've been trying to buy my mom's sportster off her for my wife.

How dare you get along, quit saying nice things about each other and cut somebody!:p

Serious issue that not enough people take seriously.

as far as i can tell the only thing you've been labeled is some kind of sig whore lol... but thats besides the point. ok well back to class... motion detectors & basic radar theory ftl :(
