Hey guys,

Just about to make a decision on 1125CR. It’s a 2009 model with under 1000 km. My current bike is Honda 599.
I am in Toronto (Canada) and the bike is near New York (about 9 hour drive). It would be a nice road trip!
I do not know much about reliability of 1125R/1125CR in general. It seams like there are a lot of topics about issues (electrical ???) and I’m wondering is someone would be able to provide me with some advice on what to look for and regarding general ownership experience? Where do you get parts from? H-D? If so, how much longer will they support Buells?
Also, I need to supply Canadian Ministry of Transportation with a recall clearance letter which verifies that any defects identified by the manufacturer as a potential safety risk to the vehicle’s operator, occupants and public at large, have been corrected. Since Buell is closed would I seek this from Harley Davidson?

Thank you,
sash

you can get the letter of recal completion from any hd/buell dealer.
There are issues with the eltrical I repaired mine before it failed for about 300 in parts stator rewind and a new voltage regulator.
Both from other sources outside of HD
other than that the bikes are great and make a ton of power a real joy to ride.
HD has to provide replacment parts for 7 more years i belive

imported mine last July, RT is right go to any HD and ask for the safety campaign done on the bike. You have to give the US customs 3 days notice before exporting the bike also.

yeah I would rather drive 4 hours to sudbury then 9 to Ny. and its new looks like a dealer. and no headache with customs. Wish I had some extra cash I would love to add a CR to my garage[up]
