Accent Lighting

I saw the angel eyes, i was thinking more along the lines of lights under the air box, and accenting the engine or such...

Did you see the bottom of the post I linked above where someone had accented the outside rim of the "ram air" intake? I thought that was pretty inventive.

I've seen some pics of people accenting the engine with LED's but can't remember exactly where. Lights under the air box is a cool thought, especially if it were the translucent air box. Nice thinking.

I did like that rim lighting with the angel eye... It look like it would be kind of hoaky in the daylight hours though. Also the Angel Eye's around the lights are pretty cool looking to (one day i'll give it a shot i think) but i think it would be cool if you could get the airbox to glow.

Buy a translucent airbox cover and install and LED kit underneath would be my best advice. When it comes to bikes accent lighting in my opinion works best when you cant really see the lights themselves. But underglow, and engine glow whichever you prefer.

I have been thinking about the same thing. Harley sells some lights, pretty freakin expensive though. I was at another shop and they had them a lot cheaper so just look around. I had thought about sticking them to the inside of the frame so you can see it through the airbox. I think wiring would be easy to hide then, and like Thaloc said, you wouldn't see the lights, just the light through the airbox.

I installed a rim of LED inside my clear orange airbox cover with a switch running through. I like the angel eyes headlights too.

For all of $25 I fashioned a tasteful LED kit. 4 LED strips with 5 diodes each. Installed 2 under the airbox cover so they shine down on the air filter and through the mesh giving my controls a slight red hue (similar to the interior of the new audi's) One was placed on the underside of the swingarm, in front of the VIN stamp. Illuminating the top of the race can as well as spilling some rad light under the bike (my favorite is how the light projects the silhouette of the race can on the underside of the bike)
The last unit was placed on the top of the swingarm behind the fan illuminating the rear suspension and the inside of the rear fairing. Power is supplied through the running light circuit so when the bike is in the ON or the PARK position the LEDs are running so there is no need for a switch.

As it turns out, the light shines through the snorkel
