Ok... So I am now aware that my bike is a jap bike with active intake solenoid in the air box. Can I remove this without any issues?

Are you refering to the exhaust servo? The servo in the airbox activates a valve in the exhaust. If you have the stock exhaust, you won't want to remove that.

it will set a code and turn on the ses light also if you have the stock muffler the valve will no longer operate

you have the jap bike.that is one of the first things they remove over there and from what i have read its main purpose is noise control

It is used to meet noise standards in Japan. You can remove it but you will need to program it out otherwise you will get a check engine light code. Got an ecm cable?

If you get a cable I can walk you through how to turn off the AIC and turn off the error checking. It's not hard once I show you. You will change a couple hexadecimals in the ECM.
1. Get a cable.
2. Fetch your EEPROM and tell me what version.
3. I look up the values that need to be changed.
4. You program the changes and remove the AIC hardware.

When u get a cable reply on here and I will help you. No PM please so others may benefit. :)

Hi Lawdag,

I have the cable and plugged it in the EEPROM version is BUE1D. Hope this is all I need. Let me know if you need anything else.

Thanks for the help.

Thats great to hear. I hope it can be done with the older version of ECMSPY. Im not sure how to do anything with ECMspy as yet.

So I hooked up ECMspy and looked into the AIC settings. It was unchecked already. Anyone help....? Does this mean that it is already disbled? i cant select the box for 'enable active intake feature'.

Not sure how to upload a screensshot :(

Hope someone can help me out.
