additional frame sliders

My bike has been down and has some scratches on one of the pucks I had swingarm sliders also and didn't take that much damage. I don't think those are worth losing or cutting my scoops, if I was stunting it would be a different story.

This message is approved by oh9bolt and it is his opinion, people have their own opinions so don't let it sway your opinion.

No worries man. My bike was just ran over so when I get it back Ill have 2 tore up scoops to chop! What do I have to lose? (besides $100)

Sorry to hear about your bike I read about in your thread, if your scoop is already f'd up do it.

Lol about the opinion part I put that because lately people have been getting offended by what I say and what others opinions are.

^^ That's a non pornographic vagina, for the people who ask for opinions and get upset with the results.

I'm an artist!

I looked at those. My opinion, and my opinion only, the mounting bolts are X2 in about the 6 mm range or so. Any drop at any forward speed will like rotate and snap those little allen head screws off. On a very low speed drop or a stopped drop, they'd likely save the plastics from some scratches. My 2 pennies.

That what the other thing I was contemplating, would having those on my bike (in the event of a drop/spill) actually do more harm than good? IE destroy more than would have already been wreaked?

I have the lsl model of the same thing on my bike. Only a slow drop. Very little damage bar and lever only. There is a pic in another thread about the same topic if you want to see them

Seen these online, if I get my bike back I think I might give em a try, cut out the plastics and see what happens. Anyone use these?
I posted up a link to the similar LSLs awhile back, very shortly recieved a couple posts and one PM stating that these kinds of sliders are very dangerous at higher speed laydowns as they catch and flip the bike and almost always snap the motor mounts. These posts were from experience not hear-say so I say skip'em.
