Rep points...this has been addressed before by another forum member, couldn't find the original thread...dunno if some of you track your rep points or not or care about it, I do...anyway noticed a point has been removed overnight, so wtf? if you've got a beef over something, then contact me via pm or if you've got my email, let's discuss the situation before simply removing a rep point. did I piss in your wheaties? man up if you've got an issue with me, not assuming anything, but thought we were all grown men on the forum.

wouldn't tarnish anyone's rep on here, this forum is way too valuable to me to screw it up or screw someone over, have had issues before, but think it's been settled fairly and I have no hard feeling towards anyone on the forum...I do comment on most things I have experience on, sometimes joke around here and there and if I have no interest or experience on a topic, simply don't post anything. have contacted members via pm's for info or give info to...think that approach is acceptable.

my phone sucks trying to navigate the forum, usually get the "page is too large to open" and cuts me off, so I don't bother trying to access the forum that way. my Blackberry is awesome for what and how I use it...

thanks...just keeping it honest as it should be, we can't afford to trash what we've got here as HD alienates Buells as the years go by...this is a freaking great resource for all Buell owners around the world to share the knowledge, help in whatever capacity possible within reason.

Seriously, ive made a ton of friends through my Buell, not just the forum but in passing, through parts, through its abilities, just the mention of a Buell has got me a friend. And some close ones at that!
Pissing between Buellers is like your brother/sister called you a bad name and you need to get over it, because its family.
Ive never purposely taken a point away, they are hard enough to earn as it is, and the dick members get hammered out real fast anyways.

vladifresh does this type of thing and he never even posts on here. He took like 15-20 from me one night, I know it was him cause I was drunk and did a little buellxb'ing and noticed my rep points were way down and were continuing to drop everytime I looked at a new thread. I went to the home page and looked who was online and there were a few people, so I continued surfing and kept checking until he was the only one on and my rep points kept dropping.

The rep points are a good thing its just not setup well imo, there is a lot of people on here that will call you a bitch because you are complaing about losing points. To me they show if another user is trustworty.

So +1 to you, you are on here alot and are a member that will be here for awhile, not like some other people that come go

I am new to Buells and new to this forum, but I have not found another site that has a bunch of helpful, knowledgeable, members, as this one does. I haven't found one A-hole thread yet!

Haha, now the random "you think stealing rep points is funny?" PM, followed by the "Oh sorry, I figured out who it was so disregard that last one" all makes sense, I was wondering what the story was behind all that.

Good on ya for getting to the bottom of it, though I dont look at rep points as a way to trust or distrust someone on a forum. I personally think the quality of someone's post and how they interact with other members is a much more reliable way to get a gauge on the person you're dealing with.

That said I'm sure you have done plenty to earn them, and for someone to take them just for shits and giggles sucks. So [up] Oh9bolt

I've lost points for posting pics without me wearing gear, telling someone i personally wouldn't run plugs on my bike tires and that shops won't plug the for a reason, and i told a guy he was an asshole for ripping on a guy who painted his plastics......I'm used to people getting mad over little shit.

I have an issue with you having an issue about the issue of internet fame points.

Don't get me wrong having rep points is cool but getting upset over them to me is just like getting upset over someone calling you names over the internet.

Those of you who love rep points would love a site called Reddit, go over there an karma whore yourselves as much as you can so you can get those upvotes!

Next comes the blame game that a few members here love to do. So many people on here really think that they are so important that one sole person is out to get them. Get out on your buell, ride, and stop giving fucks about shit that doesnt matter in the grand scheme.

Personally, IDGAF about rep points. However they serve a purpose for me when it comes to taking advice from another member as far as...what's the word?...oh yeah, reputation. I consider advice from other members based partly on the # of posts and REP POINTS and I realized anything it do is my own responsibility but I'm more likely to believe advice from someone with 3000 posts and 50 reps vs. 30 posts and 5 reps for example.

If I gave 2 shits about my own rep points, I'd sit here and mash the +1 button every 60 secs

Im personally not upset loki. I just found it funny that some have such negative reactions to certain subjects... I mean its a forum, which by definition is a public meeting place for open discussion. If you dont like the topic, why look at it?
