Advice Please '07 Buell XB12STT

I'm looking at a '07 XB12STT that has a salvage title and 43K miles. It rides well and doesn't have any obvious defects. How long do these engines last? I've offered $3,000 and he came back with $3,300. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

'07- good chance of early on crank bearing failure. too much paranoia for this rider. sold mine.

At that mileage you're running a big risk imo. If it was flogged daily and ridden hard, you may experience an engine failure soon.
