Only slip-ons available are jardine and D&D. Both of which have horrible reputations. D&D is just ungodly loud, and the jardine too loud, falls apart, AND needs repacking service.
Only other slipon available is the race pipe formerly made by buell. They're quiet in relation to everything else, but still a little loud to some. They just don't make them anymore so they're expensive and hard to find. They're better for high rpm power than low.
Search around, and you'll find the other options. People mail their stock pipes out (or buy another) to be gutted and rerouted. Most go with drummer or hawk.
Again, there are more options, but most are discontinued. You'll have to find one used laying around.
The Hawk is the way to go! I've had mine on for two weeks now and am lovin' it. Randy Hawkins is the man. Call him and he will be more than happy to give you guidance and point you in the right direction.
everybody is alway hating on the jardine but i dont see anything wrong with it. I got mine used off ebay for 100 bucks 2 and a half years ago and havent had any problems with it exept the dent on the front from bottoming out on the ramp to my shed but it still dont even leak, and thats not the pipes fault. everybody says there really loud but i dont think so and i dont like loud pipes. its a buell it supposed to be loud. with the race map mine barely backfires on decel either. definitly the cheapest too.
Not hating, just posting what we've seen on Several threads. They have a tendancy to blow out the rivets and fall apart, which can spell disaster on a ride. Everyone's got their poison, you just have to keep a check on the Jardines more so than others.
