hello all
first time buell owner, have a few question in reguard to a 1126r.what is the best aftermarket exhaust, and a good ecu mapping unit to get max performance?

This one with EBR's matched ecm, will make close to the 1125's crank rated hp, but it will be at the wheel.

Each one is hand made.

To add to both the above two excellent choises is the Barker slipon.
EBR also has an ECM tuned for this system also.

Best aftermarket pipe is subjective.

What is the primary function of the pipe?

Looks? Sound? Price? Power? Weight? etc.

No one pipe does it all. There are at least 2 dozen pipes out there for the 1125 platform. Looks and sound are extremly subjective. Price is something that has to be looked at as more than just a number. What are you getting for your money? Performance is one of those things that can't lie however can be mis-read. Where does the pipe make the power? Is it in a range where you will do the majority of your riding or in an area that you will seldom see? Is the bike a street bike only or will it see the track or drag strip? Way to many variables for one exhaust to be "The Best".

With that said I sell the Barker exhaust to forum members at a slight discount. Is it the best for you? I can't say.

$395.00 retail minus 10% forum discount $355.50
Flat rate US Shipping $25.00 as per quote outside of the US
Optional Quiet core $20.00 (1", 1 1/2" or 1 5/8")
Optional Black Powder Coat muffler $50.00

How are you? i have not been on here in some time. but when i first looked at the Forum i asked the same question. eventually went with the Barker. In my opinion it was a fantastic choice. cant remember who put me onto the idea but i would buy em a beer to this day for telling me about it.

Ah yes...that BEST question again...

Bad...you need to provide at least one example of what the bike will be used for to even come close in saying what the BEST is...
street
street - track
drag race
road race only

?????? Need more imput...!

Mike

P.s. - unless yours is modified, the engine is 1125cc's.

Yoooooo badbrad692, are you going to reply?!!? lots of great people here giving you information and you aren't giving them feedback.

taking over where brad left off: i just bought a stock '08 1125r (the only mod is a K&N air filter). i am in mostly cruise mode, but still like to twist the wrist. looking at both a barker and jardin slip-on, but before i buy i wanted opinions.

they are both good. when looking at those two its really more of a persinal opinion on your part. im not sure there is much of a difference in performance. i could be wrong. lol if i am i have no doubt that someone will tell me after this post. But if money is an issue the barker was only 400 for me. the cunstruction is very solid. not sure what the jardin cost. they do both sound different though. Mine kinda makes everyone around me hang there heads at bike nights. totaly drouned out a busa running straight pipes a week ago.

youtube vids on both. you will be happy with eaither one.
