I'll try to get some better pictures tomorrow.

I got my first Buell, this '05 Firebolt XB12R, less than 2 weeks ago. The left mirror and chin fairing was missing. I decided to go aftermarket, and that while I was at it, I would go for a mod of sorts - I got mirrors with integrated LED turn signals, and eliminated the front turn signals. Put fairing bolts with a locking nut in place of the front turn signals to anchor the fairing at that point. I've read here a lot of Buellers run bar end mirrors. It's just me, but I don't care for bar end mirrors. I run Pig Spotters on my Hayabusa, and they are not really functional - but the 'Busa for me is more of a street legal race bike, whereas I want the Buell to be a street bike - I want the mirrors to be functional. I want to see as much of what is behind me as I can. I have used bar end mirrors before, and they just don't do that for me. This mirror doesn't stick up as tall as the stock mirror - it is basically horizontal. The LED's are nice a bright...I was surprized how bright they are. And they are bright and visible quite from off to the front side too.

I decided to go aftermarket for the chin fairing too, because all the OEM chin fairings I've seen out there are in rough shape, for too much money. I went with the carbon fiber number from Tekarbon. It fit great. I kind of prefer its understated look to the stock fairing which IMHO calls more attention to itself - I find with the CF fairing my eye doesn't "go right to it" like the eye does when I look at a Firebolt with the OEM fairing. That's just me.

Ordered a set of gold short clutch and front brake levers.

For the rear, I am going with an integrated tail light. I checked everything that is out there, including XB LIGHTS, and since I am handy with circuit design, my order of LED's has been delivered and I am going to brew my own. I'll post this when I finish it.

bike looks awesome...on the chin fairing, got a black one to replace the gray on my '03 9s, from surdyke.com for $31.80, shipping included in that price to SoCal. CF looks cool, but the price on those parts are crazy...you could do a glass lay up for less, just my .02...:D

I was looking at them mirrors on ebay for a while but it seems almost everything i buy from hong kong or china i have to fix before using. Lol

Where did u get the mirrors?

those look great! where did you get them?

Those dont look like the CR mirrors. I like

I got them from u-impressme:

Turn Signal Mirrors for Buell Firebolt-S3T-Thurnderbolt

The photos shown in the above were apparently taken with the LED signals lighted, as the lenses are clear when the LED's are not lit.

I paid $44.99 including shipping for the pair. They were quickly delivered via Express Mail. I was going to have to pay half that much for one OEM mirror, and I wanted something different, and liked my idea of doing this, using mirrors with integrated turn signals, and eliminating the OEM front turn signals. I am very happy with the results - they look great, and the 7 yellow LED's are quite bright - right now I feel they serve as turn signals more adequately than the stock front turn signals, getting your attention better. As far as styling, the stalks are lower in profile and don't stick up at an angle as the OEM mirrors - they are basically horizontal, straight out to the side - I prefer that lower look in a mirror - and they are every bit as functional as the stock mirror. Now I did have pick up four 40mm bolts to mount these, as the included 30mm bolts are too short for my '05 Firebolt. Routing and connecting the wire lead was straight forward and easier than I imagined it would be - I did not have to remove the fairing to do it - with the OEM mirror removed there was plenty of room to flex the fairing outward for routing the wire lead behind the fairing and between the fairing and the metal fairing bracket. I did have to drill a hole in the fairing, centered between the two mirror mounting holes, to route the wire lead through.

Here are some more photos I took today - notice the stock front turn signals are eliminated:

i like those! but i think i'm getting flush mounts for christmas from my girlfriend! :)

shhh dont tell her i know!

Ive been thinking about getting the pigspotters for a while but theres no pics on firebolts. These look pretty good though, still want a little more low profile. Im with you though, the barends dont look good on the firebolts

I'm sure the Pig Spotters would look good on a Firebolt. I have had mine on my 'Busa for a number of years, and plan on keeping them. Only drawback is their size - they just don't give you that much of a rear view. I can see how some people might not care for them. But for me, I find that when I ride, regardless of the mirror, I tend to turn my head for a look around anyway. If that is your habit, you'd be better off, if the Pig Spotters are what you end up going with.
