air scoops

anyone ever tried making their own?

i think i can make something to get some air to the rear cylinder.

has anyone ran without the scoop? does it get hot?

i would like to make one but i dont want it to run hot.

thinking of doing some sharper lines.

I think FIDOSOL took his scoop off with no ill effects. I may be thinking of someone else though.

i live in san antonio so heat is an issue, im pretty sure i need the scoop but if others can run without it, i should be able to get by with a home made one. i will of course post some pics when i get done. if anyone has made one though i would still like to see how you did it.
