right? it looks like it might actually work and be ok. I think i'm going to pull the trigger on it. I've asked the seller to post some pictures of it in use/illuminated. Will update when I know more. Also, I had a clear alternatives back in the day, looked very similar, even down to the resistors.

you will not need resistors if you change your flasher to a ep-36 flasher can get at pep-boys or any auto parts store. It must say ep-36 for led 3 to 6 lamps those resistors get pretty hot so you don't want it on any plastic parts of your bike. New flasher is about $12.00 if you choose to go that way.

Yeah - install would need to be done fairly carefully as to where to put it (the resistor housing)...

Got the flasher, going to order the light now. Question though, if I get led front signals is there another flasher that I have to get or does this one take care of both?

Did anyone ever order this tail light? My wife was ordering some stuff on Amazon today and noticed it in my wish list. I put it there as a placeholder when I first saw this thread but then forgot all about it.

LoL. Yeah, I was waiting for someone to have it in hand to give an opinion on it. I know XBLights sells them and there are enough good reviews on it, but I'm not sure I'd want an integrated tail light or not so cheap would be a good way to test the waters.

I've ordered over 100 of those from that seller.
They are identical to Clear Alternatives lights.
In other words junk....
I've been meaning to post the LED boards on eBay for a while.
I just use the lenses, as all the other suppliers have dried up.

If anyone caught my last round of these LED boards on eBay, you'll remember my description even stated they are the crappiest of the crappy lights. But still they all sold out...

I've actually had a good amount of folks buy this style light and then toss it out for XB Lights.

In response to Neil: the integrated tail lights are cool. I had a set on my cbr back in college. Not sure whether they're safe or unsafe compared to stock.

As for Rah's input, now I'm torn.

I had one in mine. Worked fine. Only took it out to do the Buell led tail light and added combo signal/parking lights on my swing arm.

I would gladly do some pictures but...
I'm obviously biased towards XB Lights, so I'm sure someone would try accusing me of altering the photos.

And even then it's hard to get good true pictures with LEDs

I'll shine the lights on a wall and take pictures, that should show the difference with the light spread and not kill the camera sensors.

I'll try and do it this weekend

Went with this for now... 27.50 with the resistor as a package from Amazon. The resistor is the optional running light for the 'stopper' or its just a LED brake light so be sure to get that as well. The lead is dead center on the back of the product so I drilled a tiny hole in the under fender and threaded it up so no wires are seen anywhere outside. Red, smoke or clear lens are available and you can see for yourself this worked out fine on a Firebolt. Don't know the configuration on other models tail assembles. The LED cluster in my tail light looks more like a tiny wasps nest and wasn't very comforting.

I made no splices to the harness, just slipped the wires in from the rear of the connectors and out the front across the terminals, fold the wires over and plug back in... so if its crap no harm done. Honestly these are looking pretty darn good and construction is solid. Enjoy
