Android ECM App

Buellxb Forum

Help Support Buellxb Forum:

I bought the bluetooth dongle from xopti, and got it to connect through the phone with this app. THIS THING IS GREAT!!! I would like the ability to tune on the fly, but this gives you nearly 100% of what ECMSpy does, and you can carry it in your pocket. GREAT work!!

Yes, I do believe this is an Android only app since the file is an *.APK. When you install, make sure you have third-party programs enabled on your phone or it won't install.

I bought a galaxy player just for this, on eBay for $30. I hate the thing compared to my iPhone cause it really sucks but for this purpose it's great

this is awesome. so have people been data logging with their phone? time to put the razormaxx to some real use.

Does it do any data logging? that would be pretty nice. I should make my arduino project connect via bluetooth, I never have much confidence in bluetooth connections though.

What all can it do? I am looking for tps resets and timing checks along with data logging. I downloaded it and next pay check I will get the blue tooth bit.

Can someone tell me the function of the tcp/ip connection option instead of bluetooth under preferences? Would this allow me to use a usb adapter and a standard ecmspy cable?

Thanks, Matt

Anybody? It's under ECM connection options in preferences, I know some of you guys are using this...

Just looked at this....friggin' nice!
I'm more a wrench....so this stuffs beyond me, all I know is I need to do do something on mine....get a race ECM or sumptin....
So how straight forward is this for say...."tune dummies"...like me??

Can you actually fine tune with this program? Or is it specifically for data logging and tips reset

Yes u can fine tune but its not the best for map making. U can load multiple complete eeproms to ur phone as bin files tho and swap them around for map comparison without a laptop on ur back.

So can anyone answer me these 2 questions....

1. With the correct adapters can i just plug my ecmspy cable into my droid phone/bike and have it connect?

Or

2. Can i with the correct adapter plug a cheap Bluetooth dongle into my ecmspy cable and have it connect to the bike via bluetooth?

I don't think so. At least I believe if any adapters allowed it they would surpass the cost of a bluetooth ECM cable anyways.

On the topic, people who have a bluetooth receiver, I bought one from xopti, and everything works fine, I can do TPS resets, burn maps, read the rom, etc... But as soon as the bike is running Data logging is VERY flaky at best. If the bike is off I get probably 90% more data logs in one minute than when it is running. I've tried on my samsung epic touch, galaxy note 2, and HTC hero. All with similar results. Any one have suggestions. Mike told me to set the device to keep alive, and I have tried any settings that would prevent the device from sleeping, but even with the phone plugged in with the screen on the entire time it seems to skip logs...
