ok I like the look of the "angry eyes" on my bike but I don't like the gap at the top.

What have you done to fill that in? Has anyone used a touring wind screen? How much longer are they?
Thanks for any suggestions

The extended flyscreen is (I believe) about 4.5 inches taller than stock.

I hear you! I bought the Zero Gravity extended fly screen to get rid of that gap. But riding with it made me feel like I was riding a touring bike :p Mind you the ZG is also a bit wider than the stock screen. But if you cut it here and there... ;-)

Nice thats what I need. Do you have the seller you got that from? Or do you know if you can still get them?

I love the "angry eyes" but also hate the gap. Also I dont want to lose my translucent red plastics. Guess im just S.O.L.

i plan to get the extended fly screen, give it the angry eye look, then sand down the top portion to where it sits like the stock one did right at the top of the guages. then i will wetsand and polish (translucent) thats my plan they have extended translucent windscreens noname

They don't give the taller wind screens away do they :) I like the carbon one Nuage has on his. Looks like that one lines up pretty close to where the stock one does on mine when placed in stock position. Do you remember what you paid for that one Nuage? Or what seller you bought it from?

If you are a DIYer, you can drop the front and not have the gap but it is not as aggressive looking as the other way. I dropped the holes down half way, drilled some new holes and used box nuts. The pic is not the best angle but you get the point.

I like it 03xb... I prefer to DIY, I am kinda ashamed that I didnt think of it myself[smirk] you could even tap the holes. It looks better like that for numerous reasons (1) no gap (2) no empty holes. Probably better for night driving with a little added light. Thanks!

One of my roommates had a roll of foam w/ adhesive backing laying around. I put a strip of that across the back of the "wind screen". Filled that gap and looks really good.

03xb how did you drop it without gap on the top? did you drop the entire assembly with the gauges and all?

sidefx, it looks like he just dropped it enough to be level with the guages. drilled new holes im assuming.

03xb, that looks great! Kinda stock, very subtle mod not everyone even notice. Me likes a lot!
