So, I'm looking at the XB9SX and my question is...can you run the D&D pipe on a 2009 XB9SX w/o remapping the ECM (simply because you cant do it yet :( )? Or can you? I haven't seen much about the newer 9's ECMs, are they a no-go like the 12 or are they more cooperative. And I don't ask this cuz I don't want to do the airbox/filter mod, cuz I do, I just don't want to until its safe, but the exhaust is an immediate must.

And if you're listening Buell, maybe in 2010, you could offer the XB9Sx in black, or offer the color-coded wheels as an option and not standard. I'm willing to buy new plastics or maybe even spring for CF, but I don't want to spend $800 on those SWEET phantom metallic w/ red pinstripe wheels. DAMN YOU Buell for making such cool crap.:p

The pipe will be fine by itself without a re-map. (this is often argued because some say it will increase the lean condition of the bike ) There are lots of people running stock intakes and aftermarket pipes, myself included. If you do want to change the intake then definitely wait to do this until you can re-map your ECM. That will get rid of the lean issue and take full advantage of the mods.
